Having Fun in JB (Lawatan Sambil Belajar)

Image
Last weekend, I went to UTM Skudai to see my best buddies Aza & Zai . They were my 'best naughty friends' in MRSM Jasin. hehe.. The last time we met was in Zai's engagement last December. It was so fun to see them again. Well, it was like hen party before Aza got enganged and Zai got married. Friday, 22nd May 2009 : I arrived at Sri Putri, Skudai at 8.00 PM. After waiting like 20 minutes, Aza & Zai came to pick me up and we went straight to Kolej 9 UTM Skudai. Luckily they had bought some food from Pasar Malam because I was starving..haha.. Then we had our so-called dinner: megi goreng, kuew teow goreng, nasi goreng, 1/2 ayam golek, crispy apam balik, 'kepok lekor disalut kuah yg melekit' (Zai, 2009), air soya n teh bunga. We catched up with each other and went to bed at 3pm, I guess. Saturday, 23rd May 2009 : I woke up when the sun was already heating the room. So I took my bath while waiting for the girls to be awake. So we took more than an hour to get

KRIS ALLENation!

Kris Allen Yay, Kris Allen won American Idol Season 8 ! He's one of my favourite contestants in AI. Both finalists, Kris and the rock star, Adam Lambert, are great, and I didn't really mind who won because both of them deserved to win the competition. Both have stunning talent and personalities, complete package (good looking , for sure!). I thought this year's AI was going to be like last year's. Last year, the rock star, David Cook won AI (Adam Lambert is more like Cook), leaving David Archuletta at second place (yeah Kris Allen is more like Archuletta, but with less nerdy look!). Sure Americans changed their view this year. No matter what, I hope Kris will hit music industry faster than Adam, unlike David Cook who seems to be invisible now, compared to David Archuletta (shite, "A Little To Not Over You" is playing in my head right now!). "Kris Allen is a singer/songwriter from Conway, Arkansas. His passion for music began when he taught himself to

Three Years of Tree Planting

This month is a very beautiful month. People say May is very special. Many occasions happen in May. Labour's Day, Mother's Day, Nurse's Day as well as Teacher's Day. But there's another special day in May. *wink* I just can't believe it has been 3 years. And I'm so grateful that it is still warm and it grows bigger day by day.. What? Not the stomach. The LOVE. hahaha.. Erm maybe together with the stomach. His, not mine. ;p Well, as you all know we had our hard times before we got together. Hurdles and hurdles. Which make us stronger, thank God. Okay perhaps I was less appreciative compared to him (as people might see), but I know what want and I'm happy with what I have in my life right now. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but up until now, he's the one I picture in my future. I really hope it all will come through. What I can do is pray and and pray. May God bless us. Amin.. To him, I would like to thank you for these wonderful 3 years w

Cher, Teachor, Teacher, Cikgu.

Assalamualaikum and good day to all readers. Today is 16th May. It's teacher's day. So to all teachers, (no matter what your students call you: teacher, cher, teachor(the 2nd & 3rd were what my students called me during my practicum) or cikgu), HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY. It's not easy being a teacher, like what have been discussed in my other blog: ( http://misz-riena.blogspot.com/2009/03/maybe-i-was-born-to-be-teacher.html ). In 2 months time, I'll be a teacher, full-fledged teacher (Insya Allah). Well, it's still hard to believe. I'm still afraid that I will be destroying other people's future, because I still remember some of my teachers taught me wrong when I was in primary and secondary school, and I repeat, I still remember it. I'm not saying that my teachers were not good. They had given me a lot, and without them, I'd not be where I am right now. I really owe them a lot and I would like to thank all my teachers in SK Ayer Baloi, Pontian, Jo

Goodbye My Friends

June 2003 – April 2009. 50 students. 50 personalities. But we were one. COHORT 2. *sigh* It seems that Cohort 2 has come to an end. We have gone through our six years together, laugh, cry, study, work… we do it all together. From the faces of all my friends, I know it’s hard for them to leave each other. Well, to me, I learned a lot since the past 6 years. I knew friends. Then I lost some. I learned what life is, what love is. I met him, dumped him, and found him again. This TESL Link Programme did not only give me knowledge, but also experience, which is so precious and priceless. When I think about it, I realise that time flies so fast that six years has ended. Yup, setiap pertemuan itu mesti ada perpisahan. We meet and depart. During the Pre-Convo Dinner on 18th April 2009, I saw many of my friends burst their tears especially during the exclusive-video viewing and also when our beloved Mdm Nori started to cry while singing us a song. But I just couldn’t cry. I don’t know. The truth

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by. This is my new blog. It is not that I have shut down ‘Soliloquy’, but that blog is meant for educational or more serious issues, while this blog is more casual and more about my life and what happens around me. Therefore here I will share my personal thoughts and experience, basically about life. Okay, pen off. See ya!
